This document is intended to provide guidance and procedures to all persons employed by Art For All Mississippi, volunteers, and participants while attending Art For All Mississippi sponsored events or classes in the building located at 201 East Pascagoula Street, Jackson, MS.

FACILITY PREPARATION

PRECLEANING

• All hard surfaces will be wiped down with approved cleaners and disinfectants. 

• Soft surfaces such as chairs will be spray sanitized before opening. Only disposable plastic or paper will be authorized.

• Student tabletops and work surfaces will be covered with paper.


DAILY CLEANING

• TABLETOPS will be covered with fresh paper and replaced with clean paper after every class/session.

• TOOLS such as paintbrushes, water containers, and palettes will be placed in a disinfecting solution and dried prior to reuse.

• PAINTS: After each session water-based paints will be washed down the stainless-steel sink, oil-based paints will be disposed of in
the large trash container.

• SINKS will be disinfected after each class session.

• STORAGE AREAS will be assigned to each student/participant to store their unfinished art works between classes.

STUDIO OPERATIONS

CLASS SCHEDULING:

• Students will be required to sign-up for specific times and days for classes at www.artforallms.com.

• Class size will be limited 8 students and 2 instructors per session.

• A cohort system for scheduling attendees will be used so that they will be with the same group and be in contact with the same
people each class.

ENTRY PROCEDURES:

• All participants will be required to pass a body temperature screening before entry into the building.

PERSONAL HYGIENE MATERIALS AND PROCEDURES

HANDWASHING will be encouraged, and participants reminded to wash frequently.

MASKING will always be required while in the Arts Center of Mississippi, and especially when participating in art classes while in
the studio.

SOCIAL DISTANCING will be observed, participants will maintain a 6-foot spacing from each other. Be especially cautious while
congregating around the washup area. 

EATING AND DRINKING is not allowed in the studio. Students/participants can bring unopened bottles of drinks into the Arts
Center; however, they must be consumed outside of the studio.

SANITIZERS will be available for community use, but personal sanitizers are recommended.

USE OF COMMUNITY ART SUPPLIES AND SHARED OBJECTS

• Teaching Artists will prepare palettes of acrylic paint or oil paint for participants.

• Other art mediums, supports, canvases, and brushes will be requested from the teaching artists.

PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• will schedule their class sessions in advance on-line at ArtForAllMS.com.

• will notify AFAMS if experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms as indicated below.

• will adhere to the guidelines and requirements contained in this document, or other requirements announced by appropriate
agencies.

 People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

• Fever or chills • Cough   • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

• Fatigue • Muscle or body aches. • Headache

• New loss of taste or smell • Sore throat • Congestion or runny nose

• Nausea or vomiting • Diarrhea
